At Gamma Iota Sigma, we promote, encourage, and sustain student interest in actuarial science, insurance, and risk management by creating a community of students, alumni, and faculty. Members of GIS will have access to national conferences, networking opportunities, and campus-held seminars to help foster their personal and professional growth. We also host fun, welcoming general body meetings where you can meet other members, hang out, and learn more about our organization.
For a small fee, students can become a member of our chapter and have a lifetime affiliation with Gamma Iota Sigma! In addition to the benefits described in the mission statement, members will also have access to additional career fairs to obtain an internship/job in the industry. Moreover, Gamma Iota Sigma has a strong alumni network to keep members involved even after they graduate.
